Connecting to QuickBase
Set up your QuickBase connection using user tokens. Learn how to securely connect and manage your connections.
Getting Your QuickBase Credentials
What You'll Need:
- Realm Hostname: Your QuickBase domain (e.g., yourcompany.quickbase.com)
- User Token: A secure API token from your QuickBase account
How to Get Your User Token:
- 1Log in to your QuickBase account
- 2Click your profile picture in the top right corner
- 3Select My Preferences
- 4Navigate to My User Information
- 5Scroll to Manage User Tokens
- 6Click + New User Token
- 7Give it a name (e.g., "SyncForms") and assign necessary apps
- 8Copy the generated token immediately (you won't be able to see it again)
Adding a Connection in SyncForms
- 1Navigate to Connections in your SyncForms dashboard
- 2Click Add Connection
- 3Enter a Connection Name (e.g., "Production" or "Sales App")
- 4Paste your Realm Hostname
- 5Paste your User Token
- 6Click Save
Testing Your Connection
SyncForms will automatically test your connection. If successful, you'll be able to select apps and tables from this QuickBase realm when building forms.
Security & Best Practices
- Encrypted Storage: All connection credentials are encrypted and stored securely
- Token Permissions: Only grant access to apps you'll use for forms
- Multiple Connections: Create separate connections for different QuickBase environments
- Token Rotation: Regularly rotate your user tokens for security
